The husband and wife team of Natalie Haas and Yann Falquet mix Québécois traditional songs and new takes on folk music from throughout Western Europe. Natalie Haas is one of the most sought-after cellists in Celtic music today. She and Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser have toured as a duo for nearly 20 years, wowing audiences worldwide. Appearing on over 50 albums, Haas has worked with artists like Cape Breton fiddler Natalie MacMaster; Irish greats Altan, Solas, and Liz Carroll; and Americana icon Dirk Powell.

Montrealer Yann Falquet is a creative force in today’s Québécois music scene. He has recorded five albums and toured the world with French Canadian power trio Genticorum. Falquet’s unique style on acoustic guitar is rhythmically powerful yet subtly complex.

Maeve Gilchrist and Nic Gareiss made their duo debut at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow, Scotland. Michigan-born percussive dancer Nic Gareiss and Edinburgh harpist Maeve Gilchrist met while teaching at the Shasta Fiddle Summit in Northern California. They later toured together as part of Darol Anger’s band, The Furies. This pair combine the percussion and drive of Gareiss’s footwork with Maeve’s melodic and improvisational sensibilities.

Concerts for a Cause brings special concerts to the LA community, while raising money for local charities. The series is produced by a dedicated group of church members.
