Concerts for a Cause is proud to host Bold Riley on Friday, January 25 at 7:30pm. at the First Universalist Church of Auburn.

Bold Riley offers joyful, acoustic folk music to audiences around Maine and beyond. This 5-piece band brings power and light to classic folk favorites, unlikely covers, and the original songs they perform. While members Michael Hayashida, John Gunn, Julia Edwards, Erin Sampson, & Dennis Boyd share lead roles, their soaring vocal harmonies are often partnered with fiddle, guitar, banjo, accordion, bass, and an ever expanding list of percussion.

In Winter 2019, the group will release their first full-length album, featuring a compelling mix of originals and covers. Subjects range from ancestor communion and parenting to skunks, politics, female sea captains, and two radically different takes on getting up in the morning. With this new album, their 2015 debut EP, and performances at revered venues like Stone Mountain Arts Center, Deertrees, and One Longfellow Square, Bold Riley is making a lasting, exuberant contribution to Maine’s folk music scene.

Concerts for a Cause brings special concerts to the LA community, while raising money for local charities. The series is produced by a dedicated group of church members.
