PHIL HOUSE, Organist
Phil has been our organist for over 20 years. Originally from Bryant Pond, ME, Phil traveled the southern US, settling for a time in Tennessee where he spent time playing organ and piano in Southern Baptist churches. It was there he learned and developed his unique stride piano style. Phil has recorded several solo piano CD projects and even one pipe organ recording back in 2007. Currently, when he’s not playing at church, he works as an administrator for John F. Murphy Homes, Inc.
DAVID ROWE, Choir Director
Dave grew up surrounded by music. A third generation professional musician, both of his grandfathers and both of his parents played professionally, and Dave is pleased to continue in the family business. Aside from being our choir director, his current projects include a storied solo career as a singer-songwriter and traditional music performer with his duo, The Squid Jiggers. When Dave is not directing our choir he tours as a musician, enjoys working on his 100-year-old home in Portland, Maine’s East Deering neighborhood, and canoes on Maine’s beautiful waterways.
