Sanctuary Rates: $350 (+ $100 heat Nov-Apr, $50 custodial, $100 key deposit
or $50 sexton fee)

We are happy to make our facilities available for same sex weddings. Our community of faith extends an especially warm welcome to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer identified people and their families. Our church has been a certified Welcoming Congregation for the glbtq community since 2001.
First Universalist Church can provide a beautiful gothic-style sanctuary featuring stained glass windows, as well as the rental of our social hall and kitchen. In keeping with our first Principle, respecting "the inherent worth and dignity of every person", we are committed to protecting the civil and legal rights of glbtq people. Our minister, the Rev. Jodi C. Hayashida, and members of our congregation have been at the forefront of equal marriage actions in Maine, advocating for the right of each person to marry the partner of his or her choice.
